Weekend Adventure {Barnegat Lighthouse}

The weather was too beautiful not to venture out and discover some of Jersey. We headed to the coast to check out Barnegat Lighthouse. I don't think I have ever had the chance to climb to the top of a lighthouse.  All of us and this 29 week belly of mine hiked up the 217 stairs to the top. I was grateful I wasn't Paul, carrying London on my back!

We enjoyed a walk along the sand edge of the island and then ventured slightly north to Tom's River to eat some Middle Eastern food at Royal Grill 37, a tasty place we found the last time we were out that way.

After our bellies were full, we headed to Cattus Island Park and enjoyed a mile walk through a little marshy area out to the coast where you could view more of the bay. Being back at the coast was heaven for me...oh how I miss you South Carolina! The kids were in heaven as well and couldn't resist getting their feet wet and taking some sand home in their pants.

My favorite moments in life are getting out and exploring the earth with my husband and kids. This weekend was no exception and it refueled me for the coming week. What did you do this weekend that brought you joy?
